Brazilian Paragliding
championship 2026

The 2026 Brazilian Paragliding Championship began with its first stage held from March 7 to 14 at Pico da Ibituruna, bringing together more than 100 pilots in Governador Valadares.

The competition is organized by the Brazilian Free Flight Confederation and aims to determine the country’s top pilots through technical race tasks that require strategy, precision, and mastery of flight conditions.

Hiking trails

Pico da Ibituruna, offers challenging trails ranging from approximately 10 to 14 km (round trip) and reaches an altitude of 1,123 meters. The ascent provides panoramic views of the Rio Doce and the Atlantic Forest, making it a well-known destination for trekking, free flight, and rappelling, with routes that require good physical conditioning.
